Part 1 · Part 2

Symm is one program with two parts, applied together. Part 1 and Part 2 can be applied at multiple crop stages, and by any of three methods: as a seed treatment, in-furrow, or as a foliar spray. Using them together maximizes the benefit of each for higher yields and healthier plants. Follow the instructions below to apply by your chosen method.

Application methods

Seed treatment

RateSee the seed treatment table below for quantities of Part 1 and Part 2 based on seed type.

MethodDilute Part 1 in clean water, using enough water so seeds are evenly coated. Add the appropriate rate of Part 2 to the water and mix well. Lightly coat seeds using a seed treater or a mixing drum with sprayer.

TimingApply just before planting, or up to three weeks before planting. Allow seed to dry (out of direct sunlight) before storing or re-packaging.

CompatibilityPart 1 and Part 2 can be used with most inoculants. Do not tank-mix with colorants, polymers, insecticides, nematicides, herbicides, or fungicides; use separate tanks where possible. See the chemical compatibility section below, or check with us for any product not listed.

In-furrow application

Rate0.1 fl oz (3 mL) of Part 1 and/or 1 g of Part 2 in 5 to 15 gallons of clean water per acre.

TimingApply during planting, directly into the seed trench.

Foliar spray

Rate0.1 fl oz (3 mL) of Part 1 and/or 1 g of Part 2 in 5 to 15 gallons of clean water per acre.

FrequencyApply to above-ground plant tissues during vegetative or early reproductive growth, ideally before suspected heat or drought stress.

TimingSpray in early morning or early evening (avoid full sun). Application just after or before a light rain is optimal.

IrrigationAllow 4 hours of drying time before irrigation.

EquipmentUse clean sprayers or misting systems, flushed of any remaining chemicals.

CompatibilityBest to keep foliar applications simple, just Part 1 and Part 2. Some common foliar inputs are safe to tank-mix; see the compatibility section and run a quick jar test if uncertain.

General guidelines

Shake or stir before use; mix only with clean water.
Use any tank mix within 4 hours of mixing.
Do not apply above 90°F (32°C) or when frost is a risk.
Store both parts refrigerated and out of direct sunlight.
Use within 12 months of the manufacture date on the bottle.
