How this is calculated

Yield gain
Independent field trials show typical yield gains of 8 to 10%, with considerably greater gains under drought or heat stress. We apply the typical range to your crop value, so this estimate stays conservative.
Nitrogen savings
The program improves nutrient-use efficiency, supporting a 30 to 50% reduction in nitrogen inputs (Harman, 2011). We apply that to the nitrogen share of your fertilizer spend.
Net increase
Yield value increase plus nitrogen savings, less the program cost per acre. Return is the net increase divided by the program cost you entered.
